Cognitec Systems GmbH is responsible for all contents of the Customer Portal.
Personal data consists of all information about specific or definable persons. A person is seen as definable when he or she can be identified directly or indirectly. According to the above mentioned regulations we try to process or use as few personal data as possible.
Cognitec Customer Portal users are required to enter a username and password. The login information is combined with personal data we retrieve from our CRM system saleforce.com—consisting of name, email address, and mobile phone number—to create a user account which allows future access to the portal and to their account data.
Storage of account/login information is necessary to provide secure login services and account allocation. The login procedure involves a highly secure two-factor authentication method.
Cognitec processes all personal data submitted to the Cognitec Customer Portal according to the laws mentioned above. Personal data of previously mentioned nature and extent is stored on Cognitec’s own secure servers in Germany. Access to these servers is limited to few authorized persons, whose responsibility it is to deal with these matters on a professional or technical level.
Cognitec will not forward or sell any personal data from portal users in any other way to third parties, market it in any other way, or otherwise disclose it.
The Cognitec Customer Portal employs SSLprotocols that provide standardized data encryption methods for the communication between server and web browser.
